Recently in Japan, bears have been showing up in towns, harming people and becoming a serious social issue. Because of this, even the Self-Defense Forces are being called in, and the political direction seems to be leaning toward shooting and killing the bears.

In my opinion, there’s a commercial on TV that says Japan throws away the equivalent of one piece of bread per person every day. I’ve also heard that convenience stores discard a large amount of food. So I’ve been thinking: why not use drones to deliver that wasted food deep into the mountains?

The bears are coming down because they’re hungry and trying to survive. It’s pitiful if they have nothing to eat. Instead of immediately resorting to killing them when they appear, we should ask why they’re coming—because of food shortages. And now that we have drones, we should be able to transport food into remote mountain areas.

I honestly think this is a pretty good idea. What do you think?

最近の日本では熊が街へ出没し、人に危害を加え、大きな問題となっています。

そこで自衛隊までも引っ張り出して熊を射殺すると言う方向で、政治は動いています。私が考えるに今テレビのCMで、日本では毎日1人1個分のパンが捨てられていますと言うコマーシャルがあります。さらにコンビニエンスストアなどでも廃棄される食品が多いと聞きます。私が思うにはドローンなどを使って山奥にそれらの食料を運んだら良いのではないかと思います。熊もお腹が空いて生きるために山を降りてきているのですから食べ物がないことにはかわいそうです。ぜひ出てきたら射殺するのではなく、なぜ出てくるのかは食料不足であるから、食料を今やドローンと言うものがあるので山奥に届けることができると思います。こんないい考えはないと思いますがどうでしょうか。
